About Osem i Devet with Tedy i Dina:In 2015, the duo, Michael "Awesome" Lawson on accordion + vocals and David "Devet" Bilides on tapan (the Balkan drum) began playing together in the Seattle area. Beginning with singer Teodora "Tedy" Dimitrova, then with singer Dina Trageser the group began performing for folk dances, restaurant dinners and Bulgarian parties. Janie Cowan will join them on upright bass. Together this versatile group of amazing musicians can play hot 'n fast, sweet 'n slow, and everything in between. The music is mostly from Bulgaria with some side trips to Macedonia, Bosnia, Croatia and Serbia. |
